Terms & Conditions of Sale

1. Purpose

These Terms & Conditions govern bookings made with the bed & breakfast Les Granges Dorées, operated by Stéphanie Dorison & Yannick Fresier, located at 208 chemin des Granges, 69380 Chatillon — Beaujolais, France (hereinafter "the Establishment").

Any booking implies the customer's full acceptance of these Terms.

2. Services

The Establishment offers bed & breakfast accommodation including breakfast, as well as optional services (host's table, electric vehicle charging, etc.). Room descriptions and rates are detailed on www.lesgrangesdorees.fr.

3. Rates

Rates are quoted in euros, all taxes included (VAT), per room and per night. The tourist tax (€0.64 per person and per night, subject to local authority changes) is not included and will be added to the final amount.

4. Booking and payment

  • Bookings are confirmed after manual validation by the hosts and the sending of a confirmation email.
  • TODO owner: specify the payment method (deposit of X% at booking via bank transfer / payment link, balance on arrival or departure, cash / card / cheque accepted or not).

5. Cancellation policy

TODO owner: define a clear cancellation policy. Example:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 and 7 days: 50% retained.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival or no-show: 100% retained.
  • Force majeure (hospitalisation, bereavement…): handled case by case upon proof.

6. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L.221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a specific date or for a specific period are not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal. Cancellation is governed by section 5 above.

7. Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in: between 5pm and 7pm (other times by prior arrangement).
  • Check-out: before 11am.

8. Capacity and house rules

  • Each room is intended for the maximum number of guests stated at booking.
  • Non-smoking house (designated outdoor terraces).
  • Pets: TODO owner — specify if accepted and conditions.
  • Quiet hours after 10pm out of respect for other guests.

9. Liability

The Establishment declines any responsibility for theft or damage to the customer's personal belongings. The customer is liable for any damage caused to the premises and furniture during their stay.

10. Force majeure

Neither party shall be held liable for non-performance resulting from a force majeure event within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code.

11. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint may be sent to lesgrangesdorees@gmail.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the customer may refer the matter to a consumer mediator — TODO owner: specify the chosen mediator.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
